Provincial B Cup District Playdowns

Welcome to Provincial Cup play.

Every year, BC Soccer sponsors two provincial tournaments, the “Provincial (or A) Cup” for Select League and U-13 Gold teams and the “BCSA (or B) Cup” (for all other teams). Most Richmond teams enter the “B Cup” on ‘the road to the provincial finals’. Only one team qualifies for the B Cup from Richmond, so it’s single knock-out until just one team is left, and they advance to play down against other districts, and hopefully make it through to the provincial finals next July.

Congratulations to the teams which will represent Richmond in the 2010 Cup starting in March.

U13 Richmond Titans
U14 Richmond Wanderers
U15 Richmond Renegades
U16 Richmond United
U17 Richmond Nighthawks
U18 Richmond United

Richmond Cup

Welcome to the Richmond Cup

For more than 50 years, Richmond's soccer season has wrapped up with the 'Richmond Cup' tournament. And the tradition continues this year. On Saturday March 13th and Sunday 14th, Under 13 to Under 18 Richmond teams played for the Richmond Cup, as 1,200 micro, mini, Under 11 and Under 12 teams had their end of season jamboree.

The Richmond Cup is a traditional Challenge Cup competition to end the season. It is straight knock-out, with a random draw, no seeding, among all Richmond teams other than Select League and Gold teams. It is a totally separate competition from the league, similar to the English FA Cup, Spanish Copa del Rey or Copa do Brasil.
